Job summary

Thames Water is seeking a Technical Coordinator – Waste Water based in Earlswood or Crawley Sewage Treatment Works, with travel to around 9 sites. The role coordinates planned and reactive maintenance, guiding internal technicians and external contractors to maximise plant availability and KPI performance.

You’ll be working in the field, using SAP for job prerequisites, and collaborating with Performance Managers while ensuring safety and statutory maintenance requirements across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Solid technical coordination experience in utilities or industrial settings.
• Good understanding of plant and equipment maintenance.
• IOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage SAP prerequisites (materials, permits, resources, services) for complex jobs.
• Design operationally critical jobs using field data and technical expertise.
• Highlight operational risks and secure funding.
• Maintain plant/equipment availability and optimise treatment performance.
• Collaborate with planners, performance managers, suppliers and 3rd parties.
• Obtain quotes and manage 3rd party service provision within framework.
• Ensure health and safety via RAMS review and site audits.
• Ensure statutory maintenance requirements (lifting gear, pressure vessels, generators) are met.
