Job summary

Thames Water is seeking a Technical Coordinator to join the Operations team. Based at Earlswood or Crawley Sewage Treatment Works with travel to around 9 other sites.

You will coordinate planned and reactive maintenance, work with local Performance Managers and technicians, and ensure plant availability while keeping activities within budget. 36 hours/week, salary from £39,770 and up to £47,000.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining plant equipment and coordinating field teams.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work with external contractors and internal stakeholders.
• IOSH or equivalent qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage SAP prerequisites for complex jobs (materials, permits, resources).
• Design operationally critical jobs using field data.
• Highlight risks and seek funding.
• Maintain plant/equipment availability and optimize process performance.
• Coordinate internal field teams and external contractors.
• Ensure legal maintenance requirements are met (lifting equipment, pressure vessels, generators).
