Job summary

Thames Water is seeking a proactive Technical Coordinator to join the Operations team, based at Earlswood or Crawley, with travel to around 9 other sites. The role is field‑heavy, working with an experienced team to manage SAP prerequisites, design critical jobs, and monitor asset performance.

The position requires strong technical knowledge, IOSH or equivalent qualification preferred, a full UK driving licence, and the ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of plant, equipment and operational processes.
• Collaborative – able to work closely with Planners, Field Performance Managers, suppliers and 3rd parties.
• Technically experienced with a good understanding of asset maintenance.
• Good local knowledge of asset importance to a site and relation to other assets.
• Meticulous at documenting the finer details of what needs to take place.

Responsibilities

• Manage SAP prerequisites (materials, permits, resources, services) for complex jobs.
• Design operationally critical jobs using field data.
• Highlight operational risks and seek funding.
• Maintain plant and equipment availability and optimise process performance.
• Develop relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
