Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to maintain and install camera hardware across Glasgow and surrounding areas. The role involves store-site visits, potentially overnight work, and ensuring high-quality maintenance and rapid response to service calls.

Applicants must have a valid UK driving licence, be able to work 30 hours per week on a fixed-term 6-month contract, and be comfortable with on-the-road service and installations during store hours and occasional night

Qualifications

• Previous field technician experience in field service or installation is essential.
• Strong technical aptitude for diagnosing hardware and software issues.
• Proficiency with power tools and installation equipment.
• Ability to work physically demanding tasks for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Onsite maintenance of camera hardware, diagnose issues, install, replace and configure per standards.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance checks and address potential issues.
• Respond promptly to service calls and meet customer SLAs.
• Maintain accurate service records with parts used and time spent using company tools.
• Onboard/scan products into the system and assist with installations as required.
• Attend installations at various client sites during night hours when needed.
