Job summary
Focal Systems is expanding its UK operations and seeks a dedicated Field Service Technician to complete installations for our customers in your area. This role mainly involves overnight work, attending installations where our product will be installed, and taking responsibility for successful deployment and adoption.
You must have a valid UK driving licence, be able to work nights and weekends, and be comfortable using power tools.
Qualifications
- Field service experience in installation or related field.
- Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in using power tools and installation equipment.
- Physical stamina to work up to 9 hours on site.
- Detail-oriented and safety-conscious during tasks.
- Ability to manage time and meet deadlines, including nights/weekends.
- Valid UK driving licence and reliable transport to sites.
Responsibilities
- Install camera hardware, mount, connect and configure per standards.
- Respond promptly to installation requests and meet SLAs.
- Maintain records of installation activities, parts used and time spent.
- Onboard/scanning products into the system.
- Operate power tools safely to complete installations.
- Follow safety protocols to minimise risks on site.
- Collaborate with team to complete installations on time.
- Ensure tasks meet quality standards and KPI targets.
- Communicate progress and issues to supervisors and team.
