Job summary

Focal Systems is expanding its UK field service team and seeks a dedicated Field Service Technician to maintain installations for our customers across the region. The role involves travel to sites, performing on-site maintenance, installing hardware, and ensuring safety and quality KPIs are met.

The position is a 6-month fixed-term contract, 30 hours per week, with potential extension. A valid UK driving licence and reliable transportation are required to reach multiple customer locations.

Qualifications

• Proven Field Service Technician Experience in field service, installation, or related field.
• Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues.
• Proficiency in using power tools and installation equipment.
• Require physical stamina to work on feet and perform tasks for extended periods (up to 9 hours).
• Detail-oriented with high quality standards and safety compliance.
• Demonstrated time management, able to meet deadlines and coordinate visits.
• Clear communication with supervisors, team members and customers during maintenance visits.
• Valid driver-s license and reliable transportation to travel to sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Onsite and offsite maintenance of camera hardware, diagnose issues, install, replace and configure per standards.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance checks to identify and address issues.
• Respond promptly to service calls and ensure customer SLAs are met.
• Maintain records of service activities, parts used, and time spent using company tools.
• Attend installations at various client sites during night hours as required.
• Install Focal Systems product onto shelves, ceilings, and other equipment per plans.
