Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician for UK-based installations, working overnight across customer sites. This 6-month fixed-term contract requires 20 hours per week, with a focus on installation, deployment, and adoption of our shelf-camera system.

Applicants must have proven field service experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a valid UK driving licence. A physical role with power tools and strict safety KPIs is involved.

Qualifications

• Proven field service technician experience in related roles.
• Strong technical aptitude with hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Proficient with power tools and installation equipment.
• Willing to work nights, weekends; extended shifts possible.
• Valid UK driving licence and reliable transport.
• Able to meet safety KPIs and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Install camera hardware per company standards.
• Respond to installation requests and meet SLAs.
• Maintain installation records with company tools.
• Onboard/scanning products into system.
• Operate power tools safely to complete installations.
• Follow safety protocols during visits.
• Collaborate with team to finish installations.
• Maintain attention to detail for quality.
• Meet or exceed speed and quality KPIs.
• Communicate updates to supervisors.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
