Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain installations across the UK. This casual, zero-hours role requires on-site and off-site work, including night shifts, with a strong emphasis on safety and customer SLA adherence.

You will diagnose issues, install and configure hardware, and ensure prompt service responses. Applicants should have proven field service experience, strong technical aptitude, and the ability to handle power tools and installation equipment.

Qualifications

• Proven Field Service Technician Experience in a relevant setting.
• Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in using power tools and installation equipment.
• Physical stamina to work up to 9 hours on site.
• Valid UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Onsite and offsite maintenance of camera hardware: diagnose issues, install, replace and configure in accordance with company standards.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance checks to identify and address potential issues.
• Respond promptly to service calls and ensure customer SLAs are met.
• Maintain accurate records of service activities, including work performed, parts used, and time spent, using company-provided tools.
• Onboarding/scanning products into the system.
• Attend installations at various clients during night hours when required.
• Installation of Focal Systems product onto shelves, ceilings, and other equipment as per installation plans and specifications.
• Operate power tools safely and efficiently to complete installations.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks during maintenance visits and installations.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure timely completion of installations.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure maintenance tasks meet quality standards.
• Meet or exceed speed and quality KPIs consistently.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to provide updates on progress.
