Focal Systems is seeking a Field Service Technician to service and maintain installations across the UK, including Birmingham. The role involves on-the-road maintenance at customer sites, with night and weekend work as needed. You will diagnose issues, deploy fixes, and ensure installations meet quality KPIs.

Light travel and physical work are expected; a valid UK driving license is required. This casual worker role offers flexible scheduling with no guaranteed hours and opportunities to take on

Qualifications

• Proven field service experience in installation, maintenance or related work.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software.
• Proficiency with power tools and installation equipment.
• Good physical stamina for long shifts and on-site work.
• Attention to detail to meet quality standards and KPIs.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication with supervisors and customers.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transport to sites.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and install camera hardware at customer sites.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance checks.
• Respond promptly to service calls and meet SLAs.
• Document service activities, parts used and time spent.
• Onboard products into the system and assist with installations.
• Work overnight or on weekends as required by assignments.
• Follow installation plans and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with team to ensure timely completion and quality.
• Communicate progress and issues to supervisors.
