Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain installations across the UK. The role requires driving to customer sites, installing and servicing camera hardware, and meeting KPIs. The contract is fixed-term for 6 months, with 30 hours per week and possible extension.

The position requires a valid UK driving licence, willingness to work nights/weekends, and the ability to travel to various sites while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven field service technician experience in related settings.
• Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills for hardware/software.
• Proficiency using power tools and installation equipment.
• Excellent physical stamina for long tasks (up to 9 hours).
• Attention to detail to ensure quality standards and specs.
• Effective time management under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication with supervisors, teams and customers.
• Valid UK driving licence and reliable transportation to sites.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends if required.

Responsibilities

• Onsite and offsite maintenance of camera hardware, diagnosing issues and configuring per standards.
• Carry out routine preventative maintenance and address potential issues.
• Respond promptly to service calls and meet customer SLAs.
• Maintain accurate service records including parts used and time spent.
• Onboard/scanner products into the system as needed.
• Attend installations at client sites during night hours when required.
• Install Focal Systems product on shelves, ceilings and equipment per plans.
• Operate power tools safely to complete installations.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company policies.
