Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain installations for customers across the UK on a 6-month fixed-term contract, minimum 30 hours per week. The role involves on-the-road work and site visits, with potential night/weekend shifts.

A valid UK driving licence and reliable transportation are required to travel to client sites. You will diagnose hardware issues, install and configure camera systems, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure service quality while meeting

Qualifications

• Proven Field Service Technician experience in field service, installation or related area.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues.
• Proficiency with power tools and installation equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail to meet quality standards and specs.
• Ability to manage time and meet deadlines in on-site visits.
• Good communication with supervisors, team members and customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite and offsite maintenance of camera hardware and configurations.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and address potential issues.
• Respond promptly to service calls and meet customer SLAs.
• Maintain accurate records of service activities and parts used.
• Onboard products into the system and participate in installations as needed.
• Attend installations at client sites during night hours when required.
• Install Focal Systems products on shelves and equipment per plans.
• Operate power tools safely and efficiently during tasks.
• Follow safety protocols to minimize risks on maintenance visits.
• Collaborate with team to ensure timely installation completions.
• Maintain high attention to detail to meet quality standards.
• Meet or exceed KPIs for speed and quality of work.
• Communicate progress and issues to supervisors and team.
