Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to maintain installations for customers across the UK. The role involves travel to sites, on-site and remote maintenance of camera hardware, and occasional night/weekend work. A valid UK driving license and reliable transport are required.

The position is a fixed-term contract for 6 months, 30 hours per week, with potential extension depending on performance and business needs.

Qualifications

• Proven field service technician experience in installation/maintenance.
• Strong technical aptitude to diagnose hardware and software issues.
• Proficiency with power tools and installation equipment.
• Physical stamina to work on feet for extended periods (up to 9 hours).
• Detail-oriented to meet quality standards and specifications.
• Good time management to meet deadlines under field conditions.
• Effective communication with supervisors, team members and customers.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to sites.
• Ability to work nights and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Onsite and offsite maintenance of camera hardware, diagnose issues, install, replace and configure per standards.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance checks to address potential issues.
• Respond promptly to service calls and meet customer SLAs.
• Maintain accurate records of service activities, parts used, and time spent.
• Onboarding/scanning products into the system and attending installations at various client sites during night hours as needed.
