Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a Field Service Team Lead (Installations) to oversee overnight installations across the West Midlands region. You will lead a small team of technicians on customer sites, ensuring timely, high-quality installations and adherence to safety standards.

The role requires a proven field service background, leadership ability, and a valid UK driving licence. This fixed-term contract (6 months) offers 30 hours per week, with potential extension based on performance.

Qualifications

• Previous field technician experience, with some leadership or supervision.
• Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills for hardware/software.
• Proficiency with power tools and installation equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Field Service Technicians on site, allocate tasks and ensure installations run to plan.
• Install camera hardware and oversee team doing the same to company standards.
• Conduct pre-installation site checks and address potential issues before start.
• Primary on-site customer contact, escalate and resolve issues to meet SLAs.
• Review and sign off completed installations before handover.
• Maintain records of installation activities, parts, and time spent.
• Onboard/scanning products into the system and train new staff.
• Attend/install at various clients during night hours as required.
• Operate power tools safely and ensure team compliance with safety protocols.
• Mentor team members to develop installation skills and knowledge.
