Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a Field Service Team Lead to oversee installations across Essex & Kent. The role involves overnight work, leading a team of Field Service Technicians on customer sites, and ensuring timely, quality installations.

This six-month fixed-term contract requires a minimum of 30 hours per week, a valid UK driving licence, and strong leadership, technical, and safety skills to meet KPIs and customer SLAs.

Qualifications

• Field service or installation experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Lead and coordinate a small team under tight deadlines.
• Strong technical aptitude to diagnose hardware/software issues.
• Proficient with power tools and installation equipment.
• Attention to detail and strict adherence to safety standards.
• Willing to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Valid UK driving licence and reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of Field Service Technicians on site.
• Install camera hardware, mount, connect and configure per standards.
• Conduct pre-installation site checks and briefings.
• Be primary on-site contact for customers, escalating as needed.
• Review and sign off on installations meeting quality standards.
• Maintain records of activities, parts, and time spent.
• Onboard and scan products into the system.
• Lead night installations as required.
• Enforce safety protocols during visits.
• Train and mentor team members to improve skills.
• Meet or exceed team KPIs for speed and quality.
