Focal Systems in Sheffield seeks a Field Service Team Lead (Installations) for a 6‑month fixed-term contract. The role involves leading a team of field technicians on site and during overnight installations to ensure quality and KPI targets are met.

The position requires a valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites, with 30 hours per week paid at £20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in field service or installation teams, with leadership exposure.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and coordinate staff under deadlines.
• Strong technical troubleshooting for hardware/software issues.
• Proficient with power tools and installation equipment.
• Physically capable of long periods on site and at height/weight tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate on-site installation teams to meet plans.
• Install camera hardware per company standards and oversee the process.
• Conduct site pre-checks and address issues before install starts.
• Be primary customer contact on site and manage SLAs.
• Sign off installations and hand over to clients with proper records.
• Maintain installation activity records and time tracking.
• Onboard and scan products into the system as required.
• Lead installations at night as needed.
• Ensure safe use of power tools and enforce safety on site.
• Mentor new team members and uphold quality throughout tasks.
