Job summary

A leading health board in Upper Boat is seeking a Field Service Engineer to work within the community repairing wheelchairs. Candidates should possess a NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, have a clean driving licence, and be patient-focused. Qualifications

  • Direct contact with people on a daily basis.
  • Willing to receive training.
  • Experience working with wheelchairs in a technical capacity.
  • Experience of working with people with a disability.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and adjust wheelchairs including fitting components.
  • Undertake home visits for patient assessments.
  • Carry out administrative functions to support the team.
  • Be part of the out‑of‑hours emergency repair service.
  • Assess and diagnose faults in Posture and Mobility equipment.

Skills

Ability to use a computer
Ability to safely use a range of engineering tools
Good practical abilities

Education

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent technical qualification
Educated to GCSE level
