Job summary

TOMRA is recruiting a Field Service Engineer to support the UK rollout of advanced recycling technology. You’ll repair, maintain, and optimise equipment at customer sites, with a mix of planned and reactive work and opportunities to learn in a supportive team.

You'll travel across the region, diagnose mechanical/electrical issues, record activities, and follow TOMRA safety standards while delivering excellent customer service and contributing to a zero-waste future.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in electro-mechanical systems.
• Curious and solution-oriented mindset with attention to detail.
• Customer-focused with clear, confident communication skills.
• Comfortable using power tools and hand tools.
• Willingness to travel and manage your own schedule.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair TOMRA Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) at customer sites.
• Support the installation, commissioning, and roll-out of new machines as TOMRA expands across the UK.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues, carrying out preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.
• Build strong relationships with customers and site contacts, providing professional and friendly service.
• Travel throughout your region to support customers, with occasional overnight stays when required.
• Accurately record service activities, machine status, and updates using digital systems and tools.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing feedback, developing your technical knowledge, and maintaining high safety standards at all times.
