Job summary

TOMRA in the UK is seeking Field Service Engineers to maintain, repair, and optimise equipment at customer sites. The role is hands-on, with travel across North West and North East, and supports the Deposit Return Scheme rollout while prioritising safety and customer satisfaction.

You will install and service TOMRA Reverse Vending Machines, diagnose issues, record activities digitally, and develop your technical skills within a collaborative team at a company driving environmental impact.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in electro-mechanical systems with interest in analyzing, testing and repairing complex equipment.
• Curious and solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Customer-focused approach with clear and confident communication skills.
• Comfortable using power tools both independently and with a team.
• Flexibility to travel and manage your own schedule in a field-based role.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair TOMRA Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) at customer sites.
• Support the installation, commissioning, and rollout of new machines as TOMRA expands across the UK.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.
• Build strong relationships with customers and site contacts, delivering professional service.
• Travel throughout your region to support customers, with occasional overnight stays as required.
• Accurately record service activities and machine status using digital systems.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing feedback and maintaining high safety standards.
