Job summary

TOMRA is seeking Field Service Engineers to support the UK operation from Belfast with occasional travel across England, Wales and Scotland. The role focuses on keeping TOMRA’s recycling technology running by maintaining, repairing and optimising equipment at customer sites in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Foundation in electro-mechanical systems and interest in analysing, testing and repairing complex equipment.
• Curious, solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Customer-focused approach and clear communication.
• Willingness to travel and manage a field-based schedule.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair TOMRA Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) at customer sites.
• Support installation, commissioning, and roll-out of new machines UK-wide.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues; perform preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.
• Build relationships with customers and site contacts; provide professional service.
• Travel within the region to support customers; possible overnight stays.
• Record service activities and machine status using digital systems.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and uphold high safety standards.
