Home Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Service Engineer to service, repair and adapt powered wheelchairs used by adults and children with complex needs. You will visit customers in homes, schools and clinical settings, diagnosing faults and carrying out safety checks.

Training and career development are provided. The role blends mechanical and electrical engineering with direct customer support, requiring independent field work, strong organisation and clear communication with healthcare

Qualificações

• Hands-on servicing, repairing or maintaining electromechanical equipment.
• Practical, methodical and logical approach to problem solving.
• Confidence working independently in the field and managing your workload.
• Strong organisation, time management and journey planning skills.
• Ability to prioritise workloads during urgent breakdowns or changing customer needs.
• Patient, empathetic and professional when visiting customers’ homes.
• Good Microsoft Office skills and confidence using digital service-management systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
• Self-sufficient yet collaborative team player.

Responsabilidades

• Service and repair powered wheelchairs.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
• Complete safety checks and pre-delivery inspections.
• Programme and test electronic control systems.
• Replace components such as batteries, tyres, actuators and controls.
• Visit customers in homes, schools, workplaces and clinical settings.
• Explain technical work clearly to customers, families and healthcare professionals.
• Complete service reports and manage appointments.
• Develop practical solutions when standard equipment is not suitable.
• Attend specialist product training, including occasional overseas training.
