Job summary

Roche Diagnostics UK is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer for Medical Diagnostics to support customers across Exeter, Kent and surrounding areas. You will ensure maximum uptime of Roche systems, perform preventive maintenance, diagnose complex electro‑mechanical faults, and deliver on-site and remote support as needed.

Ideal candidates have a degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, strong troubleshooting and training abilities, and a proven track record in the IVD

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in the IVD industry with strong technical support background.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to train customers and transfer knowledge effectively.

Responsibilities

• Deliver electro‑mechanical hardware support including routine preventive maintenance and on‑site tasks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex faults; generate reports to improve service efficiency.
• Provide technical training and guidance to customers on Roche diagnostic systems.
• Maintain regulatory documentation to ensure compliance and efficient service delivery.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to align service and sales objectives.
• Attend internal reviews to showcase progress and drive service excellence.
