Job summary

NEC Software Solutions is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, support, and maintain products across the assigned UK region, ensuring service commitments and security clearances are met. The role requires IT/system knowledge, strong customer service, and the ability to work within a regional team.

You will handle incidents, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting, while also completing administrative duties and contributing to continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications

• IT literacy with Windows-based environments (Windows 7/10) and Windows Server 2016/2019.
• Experience with WSUS and Active Directory.
• Networking familiarity (Cisco) is a plus.
• Willingness to travel/driving is required.
• Experience in field service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend incidents promptly to meet SLAs and restore equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and software updates in your area.
• Troubleshoot and repair products within territory per procedures.
• Complete administrative duties: spare parts inventory, reports, etc.
• Provide feedback to Regional Manager and support process improvements.
• Maintain region by managing customer contacts and system configurations.
• Collaborate with regional and other teams as part of a regional unit.
