Job summary

nGeneration is seeking a Field Service Engineer to visit customer sites, install, refurbish and maintain EPoS and related IT equipment across the UK. You will ensure quality fault diagnosis, perform on-site hardware setups and document all actions with client sign-off.

The role requires strong client interaction skills, willingness to travel daily and a full UK manual driving licence. A company van is provided with fuel card.

Qualifications

• Experience installing EPoS in retail/hospitality helps; other IT installation experience is acceptable.
• Ability to diagnose hardware/software faults on customer sites and document steps taken.
• Clean UK manual driving licence and willingness to travel daily.

Responsibilities

• Visit client locations for break-fix installs, refurbishments and maintenance of IT equipment.
• Provide on-site equipment swap-outs to minimise client downtime.
• Set up Wi-Fi devices and diagnose data cable faults on-site.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and escalate when needed; document steps and obtain client sign-off.
