Overview

Field Service Engineer - FLT and MHE

Location: Covering Cheshire, Shropshire and Wrexham
Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 (Depending on Experience) + Overtime
Hours: Monday to Friday (Days)

Responsibilities
  • To service and repair forklift trucks ranging from Diesel, Gas and Electric, and a range of other Material Handling Equipment (MHE) at customer sites.
  • Provide full equipment training where required; the role includes a mobile field-based position with autonomy and strong support and development opportunities.
  • Work with equipment such as FLTs, plant equipment and related MHE and ensure proactive maintenance and servicing is carried out.
Key Requirements
  • Strong mechanical background - ideal experience with forklifts (though training can be provided), mechanics, plant equipment, agricultural equipment, Forces (REMΕ or Navy).
  • Recognised mechanical engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent).
  • Full UK Driving Licence is essential for a field-based role.
  • Previous field service experience is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
  • Proactive mindset, good organisational skills and strong customer interaction skills.

Ideal Backgrounds
