Job summary
nGeneration Limited seeks a Project Technician / Engineer to visit customer sites and install, refurbish and maintain EPOS and related IT equipment for retail and hospitality clients.
You will travel across the UK, perform on-site installations, troubleshoot hardware and network issues, and document all actions with client sign-off. A clean UK driving licence is essential as is willingness to travel and stay away when required.
Qualifications
- Experience installing EPOS in retail or hospitality is ideal.
- EPOS training will be provided.
- Experience in IT installations or similar environments.
- Willingness to travel to client sites daily.
- Tech mindset with logical troubleshooting; identify faults in data network cables.
- Experience as IT Network Engineer or Telecoms/Broadband Engineer desirable.
Responsibilities
- Visit client locations daily for break-fix installs, refurbish and maintain EPOS hardware and related IT equipment.
- Travel to client sites for on-site equipment swap-outs, minimising downtime.
- Set up Wi‑Fi devices and diagnose faults with data network cables on-site.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical, hardware or software issues during site visits; escalate when needed.
- Document troubleshooting steps and obtain client sign-off; UK-wide travel may be required.
