Job summary

Guidant Global is seeking a Field Service Engineer to cover the Redditch region. You will perform preventive maintenance and reactive repairs on materials handling equipment, diagnosing faults and delivering on-site customer service.

Qualifications

• Solid mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.

The Opportunity

We're currently recruiting a Field Service Engineer to join a growing engineering team, supporting customers across the Redditch region. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys varied, autonomous work, building relationships with customers while maintaining high-quality service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on materials handling equipment
• Diagnose faults using electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Complete accurate service reports, documentation, and parts management
• Deliver excellent customer service on-site, acting as a company ambassador
• Identify upsell opportunities and additional work where appropriate
• Ensure full health & safety compliance at all times

About You

We're looking for candidates with a strong engineering mindset and practical experience, ideally from one of the following backgrounds:

• Automotive / Vehicle Technician
• HGV / Plant / Forklift Engineering
• Agricultural or Military Engineering

You'll also have:
