Job summary

Glory Global Solutions is seeking a Field Service Engineer to operate in the UK region, servicing and maintaining high-speed cash-handling equipment at customer sites. You will troubleshoot, repair and upgrade banknote processing systems, while building strong customer relationships and coordinating with local service partners.

The role requires a recognised engineering qualification, solid mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills, and a valid driver's licence.

Qualifications

• Must have a recognised engineering qualification with post-qualification experience in a support role.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair and upgrade equipment in the field and provide training as required.
• Investigate technical issues and resolve field failures efficiently, informing senior staff as needed.
• Coordinate with service centres/partners to plan workload and logistics.
• Prioritise workload to meet business goals and customer needs.
• Diagnose system problems and implement repairs while updating customers on progress.
• Document issues and preventative maintenance in the customer site log.
• Gather machine data to monitor performance and support upgrades.
• Complete installations and ECNs affecting hardware/software upgrades.
• Suggest improvements to service reliability and performance.
• Escalate complex problems to technical support and escalate when necessary.
