Job summary

Roche UK is seeking a Technical Specialist to deliver high-quality installations across our diagnostics portfolio. You will lead on-site deployments of critical instruments, perform IQ/OQ checks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless go-lives and ongoing support.

The role requires engineering or biomedical qualifications, a UK/EU driving license, and experience in medical/technical environments. Expect regular travel and a dynamic, inclusive Roche culture.

Qualifications

• Qualified Engineer in Electrical Engineering or Medical Technology.
• Valid UK/EU driving license and passport for overseas training.
• Experience in a medical/technical environment as technician.

Responsibilities

• Perform installations, relocations and de-installations of high-volume critical instruments.
• Provide 1st/2nd level troubleshooting and support.
• Optimize laboratory space and ensure go-live execution.
• Adhere to Health & Safety policies and PID data standards.
• Maintain calibrated tools and document updates in REXIS.
• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders and lead on-site installs.
• Perform IQ/OQ checks and calibrate reagents before handover.
