Job summary

Mitchell Maguire is recruiting an Area Sales Manager to cover the Northern M62 Corridor for a plumbing and heating focused supplier. The role targets field sales of mid-range central heating circulation pumps to plumbing merchants and builders' merchants with new business development as a core objective.

You will be on the road 4–5 days a week, visiting up to eight branches daily, opening new accounts and promoting our client as the first choice for heating pumps.

Qualifications

• 12 months+ field sales experience
• Plumbing and heating industry preferred
• Knowledge of central heating circulation pumps not required as training will be provided
• Open to pumps, boilers, heating controls, radiators, plumbing consumables and related products

Responsibilities

• Field sales role selling central heating circulation pumps to plumbing and heating merchants and builders' merchants
• New business development as the first dedicated field sales professional for the region
• Targeting 90% plumbing and heating merchants and 10% builders' merchants
• Manage a target list of ~500 merchant customers
• Work with national agreements with Travis Perkins, City Plumbing, MKM, UKPS, PTS and independents
• 4-5 days per week on the road
• Visit up to 8 branches per day
• Open new accounts and position client as the first choice for central heating pumps
