Job summary

Mitchell Maguire is recruiting for an Area Sales Manager - Plumbing and Heating to cover the Northern – M62 Corridor. The role is a field sales position selling central heating pumps to plumbing and heating merchants and builders' merchants, with 4-5 days on the road and up to eight branch visits per day.

The ideal candidate has 12 months+ field sales experience in plumbing/heating or related trades; full product training provided; a chance to join a small, growing UK business with a nationwide

Qualifications

• 12 months+ field sales experience
• Knowledge of plumbing/heating products helpful
• Willingness to travel 4-5 days per week

Responsibilities

• Field sales role selling central heating circulation pumps to plumbing/heating merchants and builders' merchants
• New business development as the first dedicated field sales professional in the region
• Targeting 90% plumbing/heating merchants, 10% builders' merchants
• Manage a list of circa 500 merchant customers
• Leads and national agreements with Travis Perkins, City Plumbing, MKM, UKPS, PTS and independents
• Visit up to 8 branches per day
• Open new accounts and establish our client as the first choice for central heating pumps
• Cover the Northern M62 Corridor region

Job Title: Area Sales Manager - Plumbing and Heating

Industry Sector: Plumbing and heating merchants, builder's merchants, central heating, circulation pumps, buying groups

Area to be covered: Northern - M62 Corridor

Remuneration: £35,000 - £40,000. + (phone number removed) uncapped Bonus

The role of the Area Sales Manager - Plumbing and Heating will involve:

• Field sales role selling manufactured mid-range of central heating circulation pumps


• New business development role, first dedicated field sales professional for this region


• Targeting 90% plumbing and heating merchants, 10% builders' merchants


• Target list of circa 500 merchant customers to approach


• National agreements in place with Travis Perkins, City Plumbing, MKM, UKPS, PTS as well as IPG and numerous independents


• 4-5 days a week on the road


• Visiting up to 8 branches per day


• Opening new accounts and ensuring our client t=is the first choice for central heating circulation pumps

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Plumbing and Heating with:

• 12 months+ field sales experience


• Plumbing and heating industry preferred


• Knowledge of central heating circulation pumps is not required as full product training will be provided


• Open to; pumps, boilers, heating controls, radiators, plumbing consumables and associated plumbing and heating products


• On the up in career
