Job summary

Atlas Copco in the United Kingdom seeks a seasoned sales professional to grow our Portable Air capital equipment business across the South of England. You will identify and cultivate new customers, understand their operations, and develop tailored solutions through technical and commercial collaboration.

You will manage opportunities from discovery through negotiation to close, build long-term partnerships, and travel across the territory as required to support customers and projects.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of sales experience in capital equipment or engineered products.
• Strong technical understanding to learn engineering products.
• Experience building relationships over long sales cycles.
• Confident discussing technical and commercial topics.
• Consultative selling with business development skills.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Structured territory, pipeline and opportunity management.
• Able to work independently while being part of a team.
• Strong IT and CRM skills.
• Good analytical and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated and takes ownership.
• Professional and credible with customers.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the territory and nationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop sales of Portable Air capital equipment throughout the South of England.
• Identify and develop new customers, markets and applications where our technology can add value.
• Grow existing accounts by understanding their operations, equipment requirements and future investment plans.
• Maintain a healthy pipeline of short, medium and long-term opportunities.
• Develop opportunities from initial prospecting through to final order.
• Prepare professional technical and commercial proposals and lead customer negotiations.
• Maintain understanding of competitor activity and market developments.
• Build relationships at multiple levels within customer organisations.
• Maintain regular customer contact through field visits.
• Support wider UK & Ireland opportunities as required.
