Job summary

SMT Corp. is seeking a Preventive Maintenance Engineer to support the HS2 project across-site in Coventry, Solihull, Birmingham and surrounding areas. The role is field-based, focusing on planned maintenance and high uptime for Volvo construction equipment.

You will inspect, service, and report on equipment health, working with site teams to maximise reliability and safety while delivering servicing to a major infrastructure project.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent.
• Experience repairing, servicing and maintaining construction plant equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance servicing and inspections on Volvo construction equipment.
• Document findings and service records accurately; identify additional service opportunities.
• Maintain high safety, quality and uptime standards on HS2 project equipment.
• Support site teams and customers with proactive maintenance and reporting.
