Job summary

SGN in Dundee is seeking a Team Manager (Operations) to oversee field operations, manage both employees and contractors, and deliver safe, efficient service within budget. This role focuses on leading performance improvements and implementing innovative solutions on site.

The successful candidate will bring extensive knowledge of the gas industry, strong leadership and communication skills, and a proactive approach to safety and coaching.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of the gas industry, legislation, and related health and safety policies and procedures.
• Flexible and positive approach to work.
• Good leadership, organisational, diagnostic and problem-solving skills and be able to act on your own initiative.
• Effective communication skills at all levels, within and beyond your own team.
• Committed to safety and to providing coaching & leadership.
• Be prepared to do extra to support colleagues during high workloads and incidents.
• Be prepared to be mainly field based out on-site driving team performance
• A full clean UK Driving License is essential for this role

Responsibilities

• Managing operational activities within budget allocations.
• Managing both SGN employees and contractors across all the range of operational activities, including the Emergency, Repair, Replacement, Connections & Competency processes.
• Providing a safe, efficient and effective service to all of our customers.
• Managing performance, delivering improvements in performance by embracing innovation and challenging the norm.
