Job summary

SGN in Glasgow is seeking a field-based leader to manage operations within budget, coordinating SGN employees and contractors across emergency, repair, and connection activities. The role focuses on delivering a safe and efficient service to customers while driving performance improvements and adopting innovative practices.

Applicants should have extensive gas industry knowledge, strong leadership and communication skills, and be prepared to work mainly on-site with a full UK driving license.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of the gas industry, legislation, and health and safety policies.
• Highly motivated with a flexible and positive approach to work.
• Good leadership, organisational, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication at all levels, within and beyond your own team.
• Be prepared to be mainly field based out on-site driving team performance.

Responsibilities

• Managing operational activities within budget allocations.
• Managing SGN employees and contractors across all operational activities including Emergency, Repair, Replacement, Connections & Competency processes.
• Providing a safe, efficient and effective service to all customers.
• Managing performance and delivering improvements by embracing innovation.
