Job summary

QinetiQ in Malvern is seeking a Field IT Support Engineer to deliver onsite and mobile IT assistance across the UK, including hardware builds, device deployments and network patching. You’ll manage your own ticket queue, work across multiple sites and travel regularly.

The role requires experience in IT support environments, strong troubleshooting across Windows devices, and the ability to work independently with ITIL-aligned processes. Travel and SC clearance eligibility are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT Support, Desktop Support, Infrastructure Support or Field Service environments.
• Strong troubleshooting across a broad range of IT technologies.
• Experience supporting Windows desktops, laptops and end-user devices.
• Experience with ticket management systems and service delivery processes.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Willingness to travel regularly across UK locations.

Responsibilities

• Providing onsite IT support and technical troubleshooting across QinetiQ locations.
• Investigating and resolving hardware, desktop and infrastructure incidents and service requests.
• Building, deploying and maintaining end-user devices and equipment.
• Supporting network infrastructure through patching, connectivity checks and installation.
• Managing workload and ticket queue per ITIL practices.
• Collaborating with wider IT teams and escalating issues when needed.
