Job summary

Tank Recruitment is seeking an experienced Field IT Support Engineer to provide on-site and remote support across a distributed network of sites in the United Kingdom. You will maintain desktops, laptops and workplace tech, diagnose hardware/software issues and support Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 environments.

This predominantly field-based role requires strong independent work ethic, excellent customer service and willingness to travel between locations with short notice.

Qualifications

• Proven experience providing on-site and remote IT support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 environments.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 / Office 365 support and administration.
• Experience with applying software installation and troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of LAN/WAN networking and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Experience with MDT or similar deployment/imaging tools.
• Knowledge of firewalls, proxies and antivirus solutions.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote technical support across multiple locations.
• Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops and other workplace technology.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, application and network issues.
• Support Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments.
• Provide Microsoft 365 / Office 365 support and administration.
• Install and support business applications and software.
• Support printers, mobile devices, meeting-room technology and other workplace equipment.
• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN and connectivity issues.
• Proactively monitor systems and networks and identify potential issues.
• Build and maintain technical documentation.
• Assist with equipment replacements, deployments and site roll-outs.
• Support new site implementations and site decommissioning where required.
• Manage incidents and service requests through to resolution within SLAs.
• Escalate issues to third parties and monitor them through to completion.
• Work closely with wider infrastructure, support and technical teams.
• Provide excellent customer service and build relationships with internal users.
• Travel to different sites at short notice where required.
