Job summary

Yorkshire Housing is seeking a Housing Officer to deliver a customer-obsessed lettings service across Selby and the East Riding. The role is a 6-month fixed term, with frequent travel to communities and partners, providing pre-tenancy support, viewings, and sign-ups that set customers up for success.

You will guide customers with practical pre-tenancy information, promote rent on time, and onboard new tenants, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and fairly.

Qualifications

• Experience in tenancy lettings and sign-ups.
• Ability to support vulnerable customers with empathy.
• Clear and effective communication across channels.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with SLAs.
• Willingness to travel across Yorkshire.
• Knowledge of welfare benefits and financial products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome new customers with a lettings-focused service and assist with sign-ups.
• Provide pre-tenancy information, including welfare benefits and rent guidance.
• Onboard new tenants and resolve early issues quickly and fairly.
• Identify customers needing extra support and refer to appropriate help.
• Spend time in communities, building relationships and sharing timely guidance.
