Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking an experienced Engineering Service Coordinator in Wakefield. This hands‑on role coordinates three areas: PPM, reactive service and installations, while managing engineers’ diaries and travel to ensure efficient, on‑time service across industrial and commercial sites.

You will plan maintenance activities, respond to urgent requests, and act as a main contact for clients with proactive updates.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating or scheduling engineers in a busy service environment.
• Ability to manage multiple engineers' diaries and allocate jobs.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
• Excellent communication with engineers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate a team of field engineers, including schedules, workloads and availability.
• Plan and allocate engineers to planned maintenance, reactive calls and installation jobs.
• Manage engineer diaries, appointments and travel to optimise resource use.
• Respond quickly to urgent jobs and reschedule engineers as priorities change.
• Act as a main point of contact for clients with proactive updates.
• Coordinate reactive repairs from client call to engineer attendance and completion.
• Schedule PPM works to ensure timely maintenance.
• Coordinate installation works including site surveys and quotations.
• Liaise with engineers to provide correct job details, parts and access.
• Coordinate suppliers and subcontractors where required.
• Monitor outstanding jobs and ensure closure.
• Work with sales and purchasing for smooth service delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of jobs and client requirements.
