Job summary

Atrium Associates Ltd in Greater London is seeking a Field Engineer to provide on-site IT support across client environments, installing, maintaining and troubleshooting desktops, servers and network gear.

You will diagnose hardware and software issues, document work in PSA, meet SLAs, travel UK-wide as needed, and collaborate with Professional Services. This role offers rich exposure to diverse technologies and a strong service culture.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Field Engineer, Service Desk Engineer, or in a similar IT support role.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop environments.
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Backup and DRaaS solutions, Entra ID, and IaaS technologies.
• Good understanding of networking technologies, including TCP/IP, firewalls, routing, and switching.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site technical support, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
• Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade IT infrastructure (desktops, laptops, servers, and network equipment).
• Respond to incidents and service requests in line with agreed SLAs and customer expectations.
• Accurately document all work and maintain client records within the PSA system.
• Manage your workload effectively, prioritising tasks while maintaining excellent customer service.
• Build strong, trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer systems, performance, and service delivery.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with security, safety, and operational standards.
• Support project delivery alongside Professional Services teams when required.
• Provide remote support through the Service Desk between client visits.
• Attend urgent and Priority 1 site visits when necessary.
