Job summary

Orbit Credit Services is seeking a Field Collections Agent to meet customers at their homes within Swansea and nearby areas. You will help customers find a way forward with their finances, offering empathy, guidance, and practical solutions through face-to-face interactions.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle, and the ability to work independently with flexible scheduling. A 40-hour week with shifts across peak times is offered, plus bonuses and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience in debt collection or field outreach is beneficial.
• Able to work autonomously and manage schedules across visits.
• Strong communication and problem-solving to guide customers on payment options.

Responsibilities

• Visit customers to resolve arrears and discuss payment options.
• Handle accounts for regulated and non-regulated clients, including reconnection visits.
• Accept payments, set up repayment plans, and re-engage customers with services.
• Educate customers about consequences of non-payment.
• Update account outcomes in real time using Orbit-provided tools.

Location:Within a 90-minute travel radius of your home (applicants must reside within Swansea)

Salary:From £28,665 + £4,200 per annum car allowance + uncapped monthly bonus as a guide our current Field team earn monthly bonuses of up to £400

Earnings Potential:Up to £35,765 per year (inclusive of car allowance)

Hours:Flexible, 40 hours per week (including peak shifts)

About the Role

As a Field Collections Agent, you'll be the friendly face of Orbit, meeting customers at their homes to help them find a way forward with their finances. You’ll offer empathy, guidance, and practical solutions that make a real difference.

Your key responsibilities:

• Visit customers to resolve outstanding arrears and discuss payment options
• Handle accounts for both regulated and non-regulated clients. This will include reconnection visits
• Accept payments, set up repayment plans, and re-engage customers with client services
• Educate customers about the potential consequences of non-payment
• Use an Orbit-supplied iPad to update account outcomes in real time

Working Hours

We offer a 40-hour workweek with a supportive approach to work-life balance. Your visits will be scheduled across the following operating window:

• Monday–Friday visiting times are between8am-8pm
• A number of shift pattern options available, you can choose between a 4 day or 5 day working week.

Requirements

• Clear criminal record
• No CCJs, IVAs, or bankruptcies in the last 6 years
• Full driving licence (max 6 points), own car, and will require business insurance
• Tech-savvy and comfortable working independently
