Job summary

Orbit Credit Services in Gloucester is recruiting a Field Collections Agent to meet customers at their homes, assess repayment options, and help them move forward with their finances in a respectful, empathetic way.

You will visit clients to resolve arrears, set up repayment plans, handle both regulated and non-regulated accounts, and use an Orbit-supplied iPad to log outcomes in real time. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
• Ability to work independently and engage customers face-to-face.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts and drive between visits.

Responsibilities

• Visit customers to discuss arrears and payment options.
• Handle accounts for regulated and non-regulated clients, including reconnections.
• Accept payments, set up repayment plans, and re-engage clients with services.
• Educate customers on consequences of non-payment.

Location:Within a 90-minute travel radius of your home (applicants must reside within Gloucester)

Salary:From £28,665 + £4,200 per annum car allowance + uncapped monthly bonus as a guide our current Field team earn monthly bonuses of up to £400

Earnings Potential:Up to £35,765 per year (inclusive of car allowance)

Hours:Flexible, 40 hours per week (including peak shifts)

About the Role

As a Field Collections Agent, you'll be the friendly face of Orbit, meeting customers at their homes to help them find a way forward with their finances. You’ll offer empathy, guidance, and practical solutions that make a real difference.

Your key responsibilities:

• Visit customers to resolve outstanding arrears and discuss payment options

• Handle accounts for both regulated and non-regulated clients. This will include reconnection visits

• Accept payments, set up repayment plans, and re-engage customers with client services

• Educate customers about the potential consequences of non-payment

• Use an Orbit-supplied iPad to update account outcomes in real time

Working Hours

We offer a 40-hour workweek with a supportive approach to work-life balance. Your visits will be scheduled across the following operating window:

• Monday–Friday visiting times are between8am-8pm

• A number of shift pattern options available, you can choose between a 4 day or 5 day working week.

Requirements

• Clear criminal record

• No CCJs, IVAs, or bankruptcies in the last 6 years

• Full driving licence (max 6 points), own car, and will require business insurance

• Tech-savvy and comfortable working independently
