Job summary

Sammons, a UK-based engineering products supplier, is recruiting a Technical Sales Representative. This field-based role focuses on developing new business, managing existing customer relationships, and delivering technical advice to help customers select the right solutions for their applications across the UK.

You will work with customers and distributors, combining technical knowledge withSales skills, and you will travel across the UK to support growth and provide demonstrations and site

Qualifications

• Previous experience in technical sales is essential.
• Experience in abrasives, tooling, coatings, or industrial consumables is advantageous.
• Good understanding of engineering or manufacturing processes.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to develop business.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop sales across an allocated UK territory.
• Identify and convert new business opportunities.
• Build strong, long-term relationships with customers and distributors.
• Provide technical advice and product recommendations based on customer requirements.
• Carry out product demonstrations, trials and customer site visits.
• Support and develop relationships with distribution partners.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer processes and product performance.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular sales reports.
• Monitor market activity and identify opportunities for business growth.
