Job summary

Sammons Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Representative to join a growing UK team. This field-based role covers the Midlands and surrounding areas, combining technical knowledge with strong sales drive.

You will develop new business, manage existing customer relationships and provide technical advice and product recommendations. Expect regular customer site visits, product demonstrations and travel across the UK.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in technical sales is essential.
• Experience within abrasives, tooling, coatings, or a similar technical environment would be highly advantageous.
• Good understanding of engineering or manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop sales across an allocated UK territory.
• Identify and convert new business opportunities.
• Build strong, long-term relationships with customers and distributors.
• Provide technical advice and product recommendations based on customer requirements.
• Carry out product demonstrations, trials and customer site visits.
• Support and develop relationships with distribution partners.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer processes and product performance.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular sales reports.
• Monitor market activity and identify opportunities for business growth.
