Job summary

GEA Group is seeking a proactive Sales Support Engineer for the Separation Sales team in the UK. You will support commissioning, optimisation and ongoing performance of environmental process systems across the UK, travelling to customer sites and building strong customer relationships.

The role offers technical hands-on work with opportunities to develop into a full sales role, collaborating with sales and technical colleagues in the UK and Germany. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Technical aptitude for process equipment, commissioning, troubleshooting and optimisation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to listen to customers and build relationships.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team, showing initiative and flexibility.
• Full, clean UK driving licence due to regular travel requirements.
• Adaptability to learn and develop technical knowledge in environmental applications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site trials and sample testing at customer locations to assess process performance.
• Provide practical technical support and process optimisation to ensure reliable equipment performance.
• Deliver operator training and operational guidance to customer staff as needed.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular site visits and support.
• Collaborate with UK and Germany teams to share knowledge and meet customer needs.
• Provide regular progress reports on trials, customer feedback and market opportunities.
