Job summary

Mears Group in the UK is seeking a Housing Support Officer for a field-based role covering West Dumbartonshire. The position is full-time, permanent, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with an expectation to undertake out-of-hours duties on a rotating basis.

You will support asylum seekers through the Home Office right-to-work process, provide practical and emotional support, manage a housing portfolio, coordinate move-ins and inspections, maintain records for audits, and work with partners to

• Support asylum seekers throughout their application process, ensuring welfare and safeguarding needs are met.
• Provide practical and emotional support and maintain accurate audit-ready records.
• Coordinate move-ins/move-outs, inspections and liaise with local authorities and partner agencies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality housing management with person-centred support.
• Manage a portfolio of homes in an assigned region, ensuring contractual standards.
• Monitor compliance, assess risks and report performance indicators.
