The Mears Group PLC is seeking a Housing Support Officer to help asylum seekers navigate their right-to-work processes and access suitable housing. You will provide practical and emotional support while safeguarding and welfare needs are addressed, with a focus on recording and compliance.

You will manage a portfolio of homes in a region, coordinate move-ins and inspections, and work with internal teams and external providers to ensure high-quality, person-centred housing support across sites.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting asylum seekers and addressing safeguarding needs.
• Provide practical and emotional support to individuals and families.
• Identify needs and arrange support packages for independence.
• Work with vulnerable groups, including those with mental health or challenging behaviours.
• Carry out risk assessments and maintain accurate records for audits.

Responsabilités

• Deliver a high-quality housing management and support service to service users, combining property management with person-centred support.
• Manage a portfolio of homes within an assigned region, ensuring properties are maintained to contractual standards.
• Coordinate move-ins, move-outs, voids and inspections, and monitor performance against KPIs.
• Identify and manage risks, provide advice and assistance, and collaborate with internal teams and external agencies.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure safeguarding and data protection compliance.
