Mears Group is seeking a Housing Support Officer in East Renfrewshire, Inverclyde and Renfrewshire to assist asylum seekers through the Home Office process. The role emphasizes empathy, resilience, and professional boundaries while delivering practical and emotional support.

You will monitor wellbeing, coordinate with local authorities, and ensure accurate record-keeping for audits. A full UK driving license and willingness to travel are required, with a company vehicle or car allowance provided.

Qualificações

• Experience of working with vulnerable and diverse client groups.
• Experience and understanding of safeguarding.
• Ability to identify individuals and family needs and recognise required support packages to maintain independence.
• Experience working with mental health and/or challenging behaviour.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, local authorities, and service users.
• Experience with record keeping and risk assessments.
• Ability to work under own initiative.
• Resilient and empathetic approach to service users.
• Flexible and happy to travel; Full UK driving license.
