The Role

As a Personal Care Assistant youll be part of our clients dedicated support team providing essential care in their home. Youll be employed by HomeCareDirect but will focus solely on supporting this client.

This position offers a 24-hour weekly schedule comprising a combination of daytime evening and sleep-in shifts. Flexibility across all days of the week is essential to ensure continuity of care and effective team collaboration.

About the Client & Your Responsibilities

Our client is an engaging and sociable woman in her 30s with a keen interest in technology and social media. She enjoys participating in stimulating activities such as dance classes swimming and listening to music as well as spending time watching her favourite TV shows. She values meaningful interaction with her Personal Assistants and enjoys hearing their stories.

Training & Support

We provide comprehensive paid training (to CQC standards) before your start date covering :

  • Full induction
  • Safeguarding Adults
  • First Aid / Food Hygiene / Health & Safety
  • Diabetes / Insulin Injections / Emergency Aid
  • Gastrostomy Care / Medication via PEG
  • Personal Care / Moving & Handling including Wheelchair
  • Learning Disabilities / Down Syndrome / Behaviours that Challenge

All training must be completed prior to start date and is paid at minimum wage.

Who Were Looking For

  • This position is female-only in accordance with The Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9 Part 1
  • Driver with a Full UK licence own vehicle and business insurance is essential
  • Previous care experience is essential
  • Previous experience supporting people with learning disabilities diabetes and gastrostomy care is desirable
  • A compassionate reliable and committed individual
  • Commitment to long-term person-centred care
