Child and Family Assessment Worker - Child in Need Pilot Team

Darlington, County Durham

Up to £19 per hour

Darlington Borough Council is looking for a skilled and compassionate Child and Family Assessment Worker to join our new Child in Need Pilot Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an innovative project, working with a manageable caseload to provide dedicated support to children and families in the Darlington area.

The Role

As a key member of our new team, you will be responsible for a small caseload of children identified as 'in need'. Your primary duties will include:

  • Completing assessments to understand the needs of children and their families.
  • Developing and implementing support plans that are tailored to each child’s specific circumstances.
  • Conducting regular reviews to monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.

You will play a vital role in ensuring children receive the right support at the right time. We are committed to providing you with the resources you need to succeed. You will be supported by a dedicated social work Team Manager and will receive regular weekly supervision to help you manage your caseload and professional development.
