Job summary

Hoople is seeking a Family Support Worker (Multi‑Disciplinary) to support vulnerable children and families in Herefordshire. The role involves direct work with children, young people and families across homes, schools and community settings, delivering evidence‑based interventions and coordinating joined‑up support.

You will manage complex caseloads, write assessments, lead reviews, and contribute to safeguarding while developing specialist expertise.

Qualifications

• Level 4 qualification or above in health, education, child development, youth work or social care.
• Experience with children, young people and families, including lone working.
• Proven ability to manage complex caseloads and coordinate multi‑agency support.
• Knowledge of evidence‑based approaches (e.g. motivational interviewing, solution‑focused) and parenting programmes is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Write Family Help Assessments and lead Family Help review meetings.
• Coordinate multi‑agency support and referrals to meet local thresholds.
• Deliver parenting programmes and engage family networks.
• Maintain high quality records and reports for safeguarding and review meetings.
